Every young person's journey is different. At Working Rite, we bring young people, schools and employers together to create opportunities and support young people towards a positive future.
Ali joined our Choices programme at Castlebrae High School in 2025 while in S5. Through the programme, he began exploring his options, building confidence and thinking about his next steps after school.
After completing Choices in 2026, Ali progressed onto our Chances programme, where he continued receiving support from Project Coordinator Leanne.
As part of Chances, Ali secured a 12-week work placement with Pickfords, gaining hands-on experience and developing his workplace skills. His hard work led to an offer of employment, and he has now started his new role as a Porter.
Through our Connections programme, Ali will also have access to ongoing mentoring as he settles into employment and continues working towards his goals.
Ali's journey shows what can be achieved when the right support, opportunities and partnerships come together.
